Create Network

Get ready

This script aims to get you started on Catalyst Blockchain Manager - Hyperledger Besu, by following a simple network creation wizard.

Once you are logged in to Catalyst Blockchain Manager Besu Console, click on the Create Network button in the right-top corner to start by creating your network.

Step 1 - Configurations

→ At the Configurations section:

  1. Insert a name, for instance “testnet”.

  2. Select the consensus protocol. (QBFT selected by default)

  3. The number of validators.

  4. Number of bootnodes.

  5. Number of RPC nodes

  6. Enable/disable the Gas-free network

  7. Enable/disable the RPC authentication part

    1. If enabled, select the method and input the parameters

  8. Click Continue to advance to the Resources section.

Step 2 - Resources

→ At the Resouces section define the resources you wish to assign to each node/component and click Continue to advance to the Configure genesis block section.

Step 3 - Configure genesis block

→ At the Configure genesis block section define the Bock Period time and click on Complete to finalize the network creation and wait for a few minutes while the network is being started.

When the network is up and running it must be displayed on the Networks section and the Status must be “Quorum alive” as shown below
