Polygon CDK
What is Polygon CDK?
Polygon CDK is an open source toolkit that allows developers to design and launch ZK-powered chains on demand–or migrate existing EVM-based L1 chains into L2s–backed by the security of Ethereum. In practice, it means unlimited scale in an environment unified through the interop layer.
The tools available in Polygon CDK are modular: Chains may use any parts of the stack they need, and none that they don’t. Configs will include, but are not limited to, customizable gas tokens, rollup and validium modes, support for different data availability solutions, and more.
Key CDK Features
-
Enhanced Scalability - Experience increased transaction speeds and expand your network capacity within an elastically scalable ecosystem, thanks to the advanced architecture of Polygon CDK.
-
Dedicated Data Availability - Each chain benefits from a dedicated data availability layer and committee, offering enhanced off-chain data access and reliability. This setup is independent of Ethereum, providing improved data resilience and integrity.
-
Interoperability (Upcoming) - A future interop layer is in development to enable seamless cross-chain transactions within L2 networks, allowing for unified liquidity and enhanced network connectivity.
-
Near-instant Finality - Leverage cryptographic security that assures transaction integrity and near-instant finality, eliminating the need for full nodes and bolstering network security.
-
Comprehensive Web3 Support - Utilize an extensive ecosystem with top-tier service providers that offer critical tools for seamless application integration, development, and deployment.
Polygon CDK is crafted to propel your blockchain development journey by providing powerful, flexible, and secure tools designed for the future of decentralized applications.
